Sold

My short story, "Oath of the Oni Brothers" has sold to the anthology Paper Blossoms, Shattered Steel. We won't be seeing the anthology in the bookshelves for at least two years but it's still nice to make a sale and another thing to mention on my queries.

Didn't Make it to the Next Round

Sigh, the world is over, the sun will never shine again, and food will always taste like the tears of an unrecognized artist.

Okay, I'm done moping. Lets get back to querying, and start the process over again. It was fun while it lasted.

Horrible News!

First the Pats lose and now this? How am I supposed to keep believing there is a God?

One Last Plea

I have a pretty good assumption that any more reviews beyond the next week will not be taken into consideration for the 100 entry cut on February 19th. So I'm gonna make one last plea for reviews. To be honest reviews have slowed down to a trickle since last week.

Xboxing it Up

I got my Xbox 360 today. I also bought Halo 3 and Command and Conquer. If you want to send me a friend invite my gamertag is chuntasticxbox and we can Xbox it up.

Entertainment Overload

Mardi Gras started yesterday and won't be ending until Wednesday. Superbowl Sunday tomorrow. Lakers just put themselves over the top to become title contenders in the West. There's also a thing called Super Tuesday this week, which may determine who will become the next president of the US. The only bad news is that I have until now and next week to read Ulysses. If I go mad during that time blame James Joyce.

I'm at 34 reviews with the ABNA. If you were thinking about doing a review and just didn't have the time to do it, I gotta ask for it soon. The problem is that on Feb 19th they announce the 100 top semi-finalists and I doubt any reviews written near that date will effect Penguin editors opinions. To be perfectly honest I don't even know how much good a review will do but I imagine having a lot of them can't hurt. Certainly it tells Penguin that I can generate a decent following if the book was published.
